Braiding Disc

Make Friendship Bracelets with Braiding Wheels

Braiding wheels are a fantastic and fun way to create friendship bracelets and other decorative cords.

Weaving with a disc is a time-honoured craft that dates back centuries. In Europe, disc weaving has long been used to make practical and decorative braids. In East Asia, especially in Japan, the art of wheel braiding—known as Kumihimo, meaning "gathered threads"—has been practiced since the 8th century. Kumihimo techniques were traditionally used to produce beautifully intricate cords for clothing, armour, and ceremonial wear.
